SOME REASONS TO REJOICE
God reigns. (1 Chronicles 16.32; Psalm 97; Psalm 99:1)
God is a righteous Judge. (Psalm 67.4, 97.8; Luke 10.21)
God’s Word is truth. (Jeremiah 15.16; Psalm 119.162)
God gives good gifts. (Deuteronomy 26.11, 1 Kings 8.66, Joel 2.23, Jeremiah 33.11, Acts 14.17)
God is merciful. (Psalm 31, 90.14)
God’s creation is good. (Psalm 118.24, Isaiah 65.18)
God answers prayer. (John 16.24)
God delights to prosper. (Ecclesiastes 7.14)
God saves. (Psalm 35.9, 40.16, 70.4, Isaiah 12.3, 25.9, 61.10, Luke 10.20)
God sent His Son, Jesus. (Matthew 2.10, Luke 1.14, 2.10)
A person can serve the Lord with gladness. (Psalm 100)
A person in Christ can willingly submit and obey joyfully. (Matthew 25.21, Acts 20.24, cf. Hebrews 12.2)
A person can give. (1 Chronicles 29.9, 2 Corinthians 8.2)
A person can suffer persecution as a believer in the name of Christ. (Matthew 5.12, 1 Peter 4.13, 2 Corinthians 7.4)
A person can expect the return of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 19.7)
A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance. (Proverbs 15.13)
